Mel didn't come home before he went to bed, but Mike wasn't worried. She was just out late.
Her side of the bed wasn't mussed when he woke up, but Mike wasn't worried. She just crashed on the couch.
The couch blankets weren't unfolded and all over the place, but Mike wasn't worried. She must have slept in his bed instead of theirs.
His bed was still made, but Mike isn't worried.
